At the core of the workshop is the series of panel sessions, each one devoted to one of the workshop’s central themes. Each participant is asked to write a position paper on one of these themes, which are then shared with all participants in advance. For the 2023 workshop, these three themes are:

Participants are asked to read all the position papers in advance of the workshop. At the beginning of each panel, the participants who wrote a position paper on that theme will be given a few minutes to remind everyone of the main points in their respective papers. These remarks are then followed by a short comment by the panel’s moderator. The rest of the panel session is then devoted to a general discussion of the papers, the comment and the theme, to which all the workshop’s participants are invited to contribute.
